ABOUT
Hi There! I'm Peter White, an Illustrator and Printmaker from Ohio. My work rests between themes of Fantasy and Nature, building upon my personal connection to both. I’m passionate about printmaking so utilizing bright colors, bold graphic design, and layered effects are cornerstones of my pieces.

I am currently based in Central Columbus, I work primarily out of my home and Phoenix Rising Printmaking Co-Op. Located in the Warehouse district, Phoenix Rising has been an established printmaking resource for 25+ years. I am honored to be a part of their core membership and serve as a workshop instructor.

I am also a team member at Rewind Press, operated out of Blockfort Studios, you can see more of what we do here!

Artist Statement
My work, influenced by modern fantasy art, mid-century modern graphic design, and medieval manuscripts, has a unique visual language. I use this to tell stories that are fantastical, whimsical, funny, and cute. With printmaking as my medium, I create an expansive universe that is revealed more and more with each new piece.
Printmaking allows me to design with a process in mind. My art is intended to be viewed as print regardless of the methods used to create it. Because of this, I factor in the use of glossy finishes in ink, sparkle pigments, shimmers, and colors that a standard computer monitor just wouldn't get right. I enjoy when someone has to do a double-take because the surface shimmers when they move.

I am extremely passionate about my craft, not just the content. I intend to continue learning so that in the future I have something meaningful to pass on to the next generation of Printmakers.
